At CCS, we have an ambition to become a £30bn per annum organisation within the next 4 to 5 years. To achieve this, we are significantly expanding our Business Development team across England within a newly formed Customer Experience Directorate, to play a key role in meeting this ambitious growth plan. Our business has grown in the Wider Public Sector in the last few years, but the potential to grow further is huge.
The Customer Experience Directorate will include our Central Government Account Managers, Customer Service Center and our Business Development teams. Central to helping us achieve our growth targets is ensuring that the voice of the customer is heard clearly in all that we do, from the procurement vehicles we create, to the digital products that we put in place to support them; from helping customers, old and new, to understand what we can offer and how we can help them, to ensuring that we are following up on leads and growing the business, and you will play a key role in this.
We are looking for business development specialists to establish, develop and maintain relationships with customers in public sector bodies across England - in education, health, local government, the third sector and with housing associations - helping them to deliver effective and efficient frontline services for citizens.
Our business development specialists will support customers to use CCS commercial expertise, products and services in order to deliver substantial savings for taxpayers, by leveraging the collective buying power of the entire public sector. In 2017/18, we delivered savings and commercial benefits for our customers of £601m.
This is an exciting challenge for candidates with finely-honed business development skills, who are committed to public service, and are driven by the challenge of working in a complex environment, with a wide diversity of customers with a breadth of procurement requirements. This expansion of our teams working in business development means that we are looking for people to bring a wealth of skills and experience with them to CCS, and also presents you with an opportunity to make what you can of the role.
